Mazda is expanding its carbon footprint, but in a way that will disappoint the EPA.The automaker is adding Carbon editions to the CX-5 and CX-9 SUVs, as well as the Mazda6 sedan, for the 2021 style year.

The 3 special editions feature Polymetal Grey paint, black-finished alloy wheels and glossy black mirrors.Inside, Carbon Editions features a black honeycomb finish and red leather lining, as well as high-end Bose sound and heated seats. The technologies come with “most of Mazda’s i-Activsense suite,” the car manufacturer said. They come with a blind spot precautionary system, an adaptive cruiser to prevent and a collision warning with automatic emergency braking.
Not without transparent delay where carbon editions would be located between the final grades of each vehicle. The CX-5, CX-9 and Mazda6 will offer leather padding elsewhere: it comes in 3 five-and-3 CX-5 versions of the CX-9, but only two of the five mazda6 versions, so the Carbon Edition can be located anywhere from mid-level to high-end.However, it’s hard to perceive that Mazda is putting something new in its new Signature versions, which go beyond the range.
The costs and express features of the CX-5, CX-9, and Mazda6 carbon editions will be closer to the 2021-style announcement of the nameplate, Mazda said.We don’t know when all three arrived at the dealerships, but you may have to sneak into Jabba the Hutt’s palace at night and turn on some switches to thaw them first…No, wait… would be carbonite editions.
