Maserati will now equip everyone with the 3.8-litre Ferrari V8

Gather on the Internet, because we have interesting news from Italy. Remember the Maserati Levante Trophy, the crazy Ferrari-powered SUV from the Bologna-based company? Well, Maserati, despite everything, has made the decision that his other cars deserve to gain advantages from trophy treatment.

Yes, that’s what the 3.8-litre 582 hp twin-engine V8 has now discovered its position on the Ghibli and Quattroporte. Fantastic stuff.

However, unlike the Levant, the Ghibli and Quattroporte completely send all this force (and 538 pound-feet of torque) to the rear wheels via the eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. The maximum speeds are 203 mph and the Ghibli ranges from 0 to 62 mph in 4.3 seconds, while the Quattroporte takes 0.2 seconds longer. These are the fastest sedans Maserati has ever built, with its four-wheel drive, the Levante handles the same board in 4.1 seconds.

No chassis reinforcement was required for any of the new cars, however, a new Corsa driving mode brought Launch Control and opened the exhaust valves as well as the toning of the wise Skyhook shock absorbers. The engine was also reworked after initial use in the Levant, with new double-volume parallel pistons, cranks and turbos.

With the advent of the Trophy family, Maserati has also revamped all its diversity with new soft rear equipment and a redesigned interior with a 10.1-inch touchscreen and an updated infotainer system. In the Trophy finish, they also get aerodynamic carbon fiber appendages and red main dots, only so everyone knows they bought the right Maserati. Well done by you

What do we think, the Internet? Should Maserati be congratulated for staying up to the V8 in those test times?
