Maserati Ghibli Trophy revealed: the new Italian muscle car that spits fire

The compact Ghibli sedan and the largest Quattroporte are about to be presented with a strong double turbocharged V8 force that runs through the Super SUV Levante Trophy.

Maserati will face some of the world’s most successful sedans.

Known as Ghibli Trophy and Quattroporte Trophy, the new machines combine Maserati sedans for the first time with their maximum strength engine: a 3.9-litre unit built through Ferrari with massive powers of 433 kW and 730 Nm.

An engine built via Ferrari drives the new Ghibli Trophy.

Fleeing the trend of all-wheel drive in high-performance sports sedans, the Ghibli Trophy delivers strength to the rear wheels with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Maserati says the car will succeed in a hundred km/h in 4.3 seconds, while the larger Quattroporte wants an additional tenth to succeed in the same brand.

Both cars claim a more sensitive massive speed of 326 km/h.

The Trophy represents the first Ghibli with V8 power, arriving as a compact sports sedan to the Mercedes-AMG C63 S.

Cars gain advantages from lightweight external shifts, adding a new bumper, black chrome elements, additional vents and ornamental carbon fiber. The revised taillights have boomerang-shaped internal elements that pay homage to the vintage fashion 3200GT coupe.

Maserat has redesigned the interior.

Maserati has also updated the automotive infotainer suite, featuring a new 10.1-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless connectivity.

The new driving modes come with a “Corsa” guide wheel for the track, as well as an unlock to make the most of the grip presented via 21-inch wheels and high-performance rubber.
