Maserati has announced a new strategic plan, following reports that its electrification efforts were stumbling and that a future plan had been frozen.
According to the automaker’s latest plan, all models will be “100% designed, evolved and manufactured in Italy. ” However, the company is “writing the future of luxury mobility with an ambitious strategy” that consists of “developing a comprehensive electrification plan that reflects the aspirations of visitors. “
Maserati said they believe in electric mobility “more than ever” and have plans to launch an assortment of EVs to compliment the Grecale Folgore and GranTurismo Folgore, which are already available in Europe. As part of this effort, a GranCabrio Folgore will be added to the lineup later this year.
The MC20 Folgore will follow in 2025, while an E-segment electric crossover will arrive in 2027. We can then expect a Quattroporte EV in 2028.
Maserati’s plant in Modena is expected to gain new investments and amenities as part of the plan. It will also host a “Fuoriserie Customization Program Workshop” that will be developed on bespoke vehicles.
Maserati added that it is the only luxury logo of Stellantis and that it is now “establishing a solid business model, seeking a long electric term to achieve its leadership position in the luxury segment while maintaining successful production volumes and margins in line with its Exclusive positioning of the logo. “
These sentiments were echoed by Maserati CEO Davide Grasso, who said: “We are doing everything we can to lead the change in electrification, with two of our iconic models already available to purchase in their 100% electric versions, and a few others. on the way this year. We will offer our privileged consumers the toughest Maseratis ever created, pushing the boundaries of emotion into a new era.
