Gurgaon: Maruti Suzuki will leave its Gurugram plant and search for new lands in Haryana. Although the corporation has already stated that it is also open to migration to other states, the president of Maruti – R.C. Bhargava showed the Times Of India (TOI) in a statement that the new plant would be installed in Haryana itself. The Government of Haryana has also already delivered 3 plots of land to Maruti in the position of the Gurugram plant.
According to the report, the new plots of land are located in Manesar (near the main plant of Maruti), Sohna and Kharkhoda in Sonipat. Of the 3 options, the Sohna plot will most likely be excluded, as soil research suggests the best water levels at the site. If there is enough land in Kharkhoda, the Manesar plant is more viable given the proximity of auxiliaries and suppliers. Manesar is also one of India’s largest automotive and automotive component production teams and the 600-acre plot presented in Manesar is nearly twice the existing Gurugram plant, spanning about 300 acres.
