A man is fighting for his life after being attacked outdoors at a KFC branch following an argument indoors.
The man, in his 50s, was stunned in the incident and suffered fatal injuries.
Police were called to the Walton-on-Thames, Surrey branch at around 5:45 p. m. following reports that 3 men were arguing in the restaurant.
The discussion continued outdoors and the victim, a man in his 50s, lost consciousness after he was allegedly assaulted when his attackers fled the scene.
Two men, the elderly in their 20s, were arrested on suspicion of serious physical injury, both in custody.
Police call witnesses and say the domain was “extremely busy” at the time.
The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening head injuries and his family have been informed of his condition, police said.
Detective Sergeant Antony Preston is leading the investigation and has all the witnesses come forward.
He said: “The eating place and surrounding streets would have been incredibly busy, and it is imperative that we communicate with everyone who was at KFC at the time, or who saw or heard the commotion outside.
“I would also like to talk to everyone who went through the scene and to all the delivery drivers who were receiving orders from KFC, as most likely the camera on their dashboard or helmet camera captured what happened.
Anyone with information that can help the police should call 101 and quote the reference PR / 45200091641, or do so anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 0800 555111.
