Man arrested in southeast Michigan after stolen crash in Ohio

(CBS, DETROIT) — A 33-year-old Ohio man was arrested Thursday in Michigan after crossing state lines in a stolen vehicle.

At approximately 12:53 p. m. , Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a turn of fate on the northbound US-23 domain near Sterns Road.

Police learned that a Chevrolet Silverado had collided with a tractor-trailer and that the driver of the Silverado had fled the scene. The suspect was arrested after a search.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured in the crash.

The investigation revealed that the vehicle had been stolen from a structure in Toledo. The suspect is accused of concealing stolen property and leaving the scene of a car accident.
