HUNDREDS of Britons are on the verge of losing their jobs as a car dealers’ organisation plans to cut their wages by 10 per cent.
The news comes as they admit “challenges” to operations in the UK and are now integrating tactics with existing staff members on a permanent basis.
Car broker Group 1 Automotive, which has more than 70 car brokers in the U. K. , said the cuts would come into effect within a few months.
The company announced on Wednesday that it plans to reduce its revenue in the U. K. by about 10 percent in the first quarter of this year, affecting about 300 people.
It’s the last thing Brits need to hear about the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, as they struggle to cope with emerging expenses to meet their daily needs.
Just a few months ago, long-suffering Metro Bank announced plans to cut 20 percent of its 4,000 workers in the U. K. as part of a new cost-cutting plan.
And other businesses were forced to close branches; shoppers were saddened to see a Zara branch in Telford close on January 26.
While outerwear, Trespass lowered the shutters of his shop in Blackburn, Lancashire.
