The first photographs of Lotus’ electric “four-door coupe,” codenamed Type 133, made the impression on Chinese social networking site Weibo, ahead of the car’s net launch.
Both prototypes wear thick camouflage when they begin to circulate after the Type 133 progression at the company’s new multimillion-dollar factory in Wuhan, China.
Despite the camouflage, the front turns out to be an echo of the design language seen in the Lotus Eletre SUV, while the pillarless tailgate shows a sloping roofline, confirming that the Lotus will adopt a “four-door coupe” form like the electric Porsche Taycan.
The recommendation that Lotus Envya be the call given to the company’s next electric sedan, internally called Type 133.
Unlike the dark teaser unveiled in September 2021, the production edit now uses vintage-looking mirrors instead of cameras.

Lotus did hide that it had Porsche in its sights, with the Emira being a direct competitor of the 718 Cayman and the 911, the Eletre intended to deal with the Cayenne SUV, and the Envya to the Taycan.
Earlier this year, Lotus registered the names Envya and Etudide, with plenty of advice, the former will be implemented on the new four-door coupe, while the latter will be awarded to the brand’s smallest SUV, which is expected to battle the upcoming Porsche Macan. – or electric sports car.
Most likely, the four-door Type 133 will be presented with batteries with a capacity of between 92 kWh and 120 kWh, and the variants are expected to be able to go from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 3 seconds.
Full specifications and delivery times will be displayed when Lotus introduces the Type 133 in 2023.
