One man was pronounced dead at the scene. A 24-year-old woman, a passenger on the motorcycle, rushed to the London Health Sciences Centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Initial calls to emergency crews Saturday morning indicated that neither the man nor the woman were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.

London police provided some additional main points on Sunday, bringing up the “active and ongoing” investigation. Police provided an update on the condition of the woman injured in the crash.

The violent twist of fate is “traumatic” for neighbors, one resident said.

Aldersbrook Road is a long, directly residential street located in the White Hills neighborhood, with a speed limit of 40 km/h. Aggressive driving, rushing and street racing on the domain are common, the woman said.
