Dealer organisation Listers has expanded its network of brokers after agreeing to acquire a former Sytner in Coventry.

Guy Salmon Jaguar, on Birmingham Road, was originally sold in November, but the news has only just become public.

It is not known how much Listers Group has paid for the site but the Coventry Telegraph reports that the deal was struck by Midlands-based property investor, Colmore Capital.

The company bought the product from Sytner and has since sold it to Listers, which will now open a new dealership there.

It is still known whether the showroom will remain a JLR outlet or if a new logo will be represented there.

Confirming the deal, Matthew Grainger, Chief Investment Officer at Colmore Capital, said: “We are very pleased with the finishing touch of this sale to the Listers Group, which required careful control of the sleek look of the previous occupant’s prior to the sale. .

‘The property has been a great purchase for us and, with the completion of our business plan for the asset, we wish Listers Group every success in trading from its new site.’

Listers is one of the top 100 car dealers and has a long history in Coventry, where it was founded in 1979.

It now has 50 dealerships and service centres across England, representing a total of brands.

Last year, the company made headlines for reasons after a ruling ordered it to reimburse its paid vacation, following a lengthy legal dispute with an organization of former employees.
