Lincoln Brings EcoBoost to the most sensitive of diversity with medium-sized MKX (photos)

Ford announced on Wednesday 3 new protection units, the largest of which referred to 558,610 SUVs Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX in North America. Ford also 3,597 Lincoln Corsair crossovers and 431 Ford F-150 pickup trucks for separate problems.

For the big retreat, the models involved are the Edge 2015-2018 and the MKX 2016-2018. Ford says the cars have compromised the hoses of the front brake hoses that can also break, causing brake fluid leaks. “If the brake fluid tank runs out below a safe level, caution on soft brake fluid will increase smoothly,” Ford said in a statement. “The driving force may notice an increase in the brake pedal stroke, as well as relief in the deceleration rate, expanding the collision threat.”

Of the 558,610 cars involved, 488,594 are in the United States, 62,876 in Canada and 7,140 in Mexico. Ford says he is aware of injuries or injuries similar to this problem.

The Lincoln Corsair 2020 is off the market because cars “can have inadequate play between the left and right rear coil springs and the toe bar holder,” according to Ford. This can lead to contact with the spring and support, causing corrosion that can eventually cause the spring to rupture.

Only 2,965 privateers are affected in the United States, 491 in Canada and 141 in Mexico. Again, Ford says he has no history of injury from this problem.

Finally, the F-150 recall affects only 431 pickup trucks in the United States, all in 2020 style. Ford states that the microphones “may have been built with a clamping nut next to the point used to connect the positive battery cable (B) to the starter motor”, which can result in higher heat production and in all likelihood a fire.

As with all protective withdrawals, repairs will be made through Ford dealerships at no charge to owners. If you need to check if your vehicle is affected by any of these disruptions, or any other recalls, please refer to Roadshow’s car recall guide.
