Lewis Hamilton has held “concrete discussions” about an investment in the KTM MotoGP team, according to the brand boss.

Hamilton, the most successful Formula 1 driver of all time, with seven world titles and 105 victories, is a long-time fan of elite motorcycle racing and said in June that he is “definitely interested in justice. “

KTM, which is represented through two teams in MotoGP and also participates in Moto2 and Moto3, is currently mired in a financial crisis, and its motorsport director, Pit Beirer, has revealed that it is open to outside investment.

Hamilton, he said, is one of many members.

“I can say that we had very interesting conversations with his management,” Beirer told Speedweek.

“It’s no secret that Lewis Hamilton is interested in MotoGP and is thinking about his own team.

“There are also concrete debates here. ”

Hamilton has ventured into team ownership before, co-owner of the NFL’s Denver Broncos in 2022 and founder of Team X44 at Extreme E.

The 39-year-old, who is joining Ferrari from Mercedes next season, is also good friends with MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi.

KTM has a factory team in MotoGP, with Tech3, and is supported through Red Bull, one of Ferrari’s rivals in F1.
