Lewis Hamilton crashed at the time of Ferrari’s day at the Cataunya circuit on Wednesday, a source told ESPN.
Hamilton would have run out of the circuit and in the barriers the personal check in Barcelona, which takes a position in a changed edition of the 2023 Automobile car, the SF-23.
A source told ESPN that the Global Seven Times champion was unscathed in the incident and that Ferrari is convinced that the incident will not have a negative effect on the rest of his schedule.
Hamilton and Charles Leclerc Switch Driving tasks for Ferrari at the Barcelona circuit, which takes place “Test of a Past Car” (TPC).
Ferrari’s test is happening behind closed doors, with no media access.
It’s not the first time Hamilton has overstepped the limits of a car before turning a wheel in anger for his new team.
Before his season recruited with McLaren in January 2007, Hamilton was referring to a top speed lap of destiny in Valence, when he crushed his Mercedes on his first day of testing at Jerez in February 2013.
Ferrari is looking to give Hamilton as much time as imaginable before making his debut on a Grand Prix weekend.
Under TPC, Hamilton made 30 laps (89 km) of the Ferrari’s check track in Fioran last Wednesday in the same SF-23 car, while performing a three-day check in Barcelona this week.
He and Leclerc will take part in a Pirelli tyre test at the Barcelona circuit on Feb. 4-5, using a modified 2024 “mule” car.
Hamilton will drive Ferrari’s car in 2025 for the first time on February 19, when Ferrari officially presented his car. Hamilton and Leclerc are turned on the Fioran track in the new Challenger, they allow time.
The following week, Ferrari and the other nine F1 teams will take part in three days of preseason testing in Bahrain from Feb. 26-28, before heading to Melbourne for the Australian Grand Prix on March 16.
