Letter to the Editor: Dangerous site for the general Ford City Dollar project

Are there more deaths along the way? Dollar General Corp. it’s running hard
towards the structure of a shop on the corner of Main Street and Ross Avenue in Ford City, Manor Township, Armstrong County. For starters, it’s a residential domain. Our number one fear in this domain is security. This intersection is a harmful domain with higher traffic. This has not only an effect on our neighborhood, but also on countless cars in the surrounding cities and counties.

It’s a winding road. However, it is harmful to come north on Highway 66; As you technifi this intersection, you climb a hill with almost invisible adjacent roads, alleys and a busy church car park (not just on Sundays) just above the hill ridge.

Over the years, there have been serious and fatal injuries on this stretch of road. LifeFlight had to be called to the scene several times. Too often, cars and trucks of all sizes must scale the embankment to collide.

Todd Vasos, CEO of Dollar General, has been briefed on citizens’ considerations here. He referred our letter to a lawyer. Once again, a giant company is ready to separate other small people and forget about the protection or considerations of the neighborhood, its citizens and so many others. The all-powerful profit in dollars is more than human beings. Please contact us if you would like to submit our request.
