BERKELEY, CA —REI Co-Op has a solution for parents to use artistic and tactics to entertain their children this summer, and when school starts online, while keeping them active.
The specialist retailer, which has more than 10 locations in the Bay Area, in addition to Berkeley, has presented its NorCal Family Summer Bike Challenge to allow parents and youth to explore their dominance through the bike.
The local REI team has created a list of 28 things families can locate or do in their family bike adventure circle. Parents are invited to stop at the NorCal Family Summer Bicycle Challenge website, download the challenge list and pedal to scrape pieces from their list through locating pieces such as: a California poppy, a sign at the front of the park, local chalk art and more.
Participants are then encouraged to share their reports with the REI network on REI Conversations, REI’s virtual network to learn, percentage and motivate others to leave.
The challenge extends until the end of August, giving families plenty of time to get out and enjoy the good weather in the Bay Area while biking together. For a list of steps to participate and download the list of challenges, here.
