Lamborghini is researching virtual teams to help hone a racing driver’s skills and has previewed one of the most promising features at CES 2024 that was recently held in Las Vegas.
The automaker has introduced a formula called Telemetry X, which takes data from a functional data logger and combines it with biometric data to provide information on how to calculate lap times.
It also takes things to the next level by connecting the driver with a remote driving coach who can provide live feedback and recommendations, fast 5G connections to ensure the driving coach has access to real-time information.

Key biometric data used includes heart rate, temperature, and breathing, which Lamborghini said provide useful references on how a driver can refine his or her training.
Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann unveiled Telemetry X at CES in the company’s new Revuelto supercar. He said the formula is a glimpse of the connected facilities that Lamborghini consumers will be able to delight in “for years to come. “
The V-12 plug-in hybrid supercar is on sale now, priced at just over $600,000. Anyone placing an order will face a long wait for delivery, as the car’s manufacturing locations are already allocated for the next two years.
