Business tycoon and car enthusiast Gautam Singhania on Wednesday flagged Lamborghini’s safety concerns after a moving high-end luxury car caught fire on Mumbai’s Coastal Road.
No injuries were reported from the incident which took place around 10:20pm, police officials said.

Several videos of the luxury car on fire have gone viral on social media.
A fire official said a fire truck was temporarily rushed to the scene and the fire was put out in about forty-five minutes.
No information is yet known about the number of people inside the car or the cause of the fire.
As for protecting such a high-end car, a recall crusade on Lamborghini’s official online website states: “Lamborghini’s duty to protect it lasts over the years. In fact, we are committed to constantly checking the correct functioning of cars during their life cycle. The progression of new responses to improve the quality of Lamborghini models on the road allows us to launch sufficiently good recall campaigns when necessary.
Just last week, a moving car in Chandigarh’s Mohali caught fire, with no casualties or injuries being reported from the incident.
The car was being driven by a private-sector employee who was returning to his home in Sector 88 after having dinner at Phase-3B2.
Fortunately, the occupant managed to escape the fire unharmed. But the car was completely destroyed by the fire.
