A crashed 1989 Lamborghini Countach from the “Wolf of Wall Street” will be auctioned through Bonhams in a sale in Abu Dhabi scheduled for Nov. 25.
The car is sold in pre-owned condition from the 2013 film directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio as unscrupulous stockbroker Jordan Belfort. In the film, a drugged Belfort overcomes grief to take the Lamborghini home.
The auctioned car used to film this scene, with more damage inflicted after the fact to make it look more destroyed, according to the auction listing.
The Countach was unveiled at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show and temporarily became the icon of wedge-shaped supercars, introducing the scissor doors that have become an iconic detail of Lamborghini’s V-12 models. Its production also lasted until 1990. Almost 2,000 examples were built in this period.

Destroying any Countach is enough to send shivers down the spine of car enthusiasts, but it’s also one of 658 25th anniversary editions created to celebrate Lamborghini’s 25th anniversary. The 25th anniversary edition is highlighted by its exclusive spoilers and modified air vents designed by Pagani founder Horacio Pagani, while still running at Lamborghini.
Power comes from a 5. 2-liter V12 with 455 hp and a top speed of 183 mph.
Even in its dilapidated state, Bonhams expects The Wolf of Wall Street Countach to sell for between $1. 5 million and $2 million. Even the lowest estimate is about double what the examples used are indexed on popular classifieds websites, so much of this car’s perceived price is in its Hollywood connection.
