Kris Jenner is auctioning off her 1956 Ford Thunderbird Fiesta Red.

The convertible hardtop, received as a Christmas gift by the media personality, has been restored to mint condition and is powered by a V8 engine, according to the Barrett-Jackson auction company. It has an automatic transmission, power steering, a Town & Country radio, air conditioning and wire wheel covers, according to Barrett-Jackson, which has the car up for sale in Scottsdale, Arizona on Thursday.

“The 1956 Thunderbird gets the nickname ‘bathrough bird’ among creditors because it’s the first generation and the only two-seat Thunderbird until the old-fashioned style in 2002,” Jonathan Klinger, a Traverse City vintage car consultant, told the Detroit Free Press. “It’s Ford’s answer to the (Chevrolet) Corvette. Al the beginning, those Thunderbirds outsold the Corvettes because they had a V8 while the first Corvette didn’t. “

Jenner, whose fame grew after starring in the real series “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” is the mother of Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Kendell Jenner, and is the ex-wife. Kris Jenner was once married to Robert Kardashian, who rose to foreign fame as O. J. Simpson’s friend and defense attorney in the 1995 murder trial.

Kris Jenner is a bestselling author and teaches the power of personal branding at masterclass.com.

The addition of a “star power” connection adds to the appeal of a first-generation Thunderbird, said Klinger, a board member of McPherson College’s auto recovery program in McPherson, Kansas.

Still, Jenner’s 1956 Thunderbird is the only Ford to generate buzz.

Ford Motor Company has donated the first 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse VIN 001 with 6-speed manual transmission, and one hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund. The Blue Ember Metallic sports car with a blue and black design interior is expected to pass the auction on Saturday.

“This 500-horsepower fastback Mustang is particularly special because it’s the first production vehicle that wears the first new nameplate for the Ford Mustang in 21 years,” Craig Jackson, CEO of Barrett-Jackson, said in a news release this week.

“The vehicles that constitute the birth of a new generation of cars will offer a promising collection over time,” he said. “I can’t wait to be a part of history when this vehicle travels through the community as part of Ford’s longstanding commitment to finding a cure for type 1 diabetes. “

Barrett-Jackson highlights the rugged 5. 0-liter Coyote V8 engine with a dual air intake box and throttle frame that includes coolers for the transmission, engine oil and rear axle, as well as staggered engine cooling capacity. Inside, the cab features a flat-to-guide wheel at the bottom and a 12. 4-inch virtual tool cluster with customizable displays.

This Dark Horse, Klinger said, “will sell for a lot of money. In the car collecting world, other people like car bookends, so the first one and the last one are desirable. “

A base 2024 Dark Horse sells for around $60,000, while premium editions are indexed around $80,000. An online ad for cars. com indexed a used edition with 82 miles at $84,999 in St. Petersburg. John’s. Clair Shores this week.

A recreation of the 1968 Shelby GT350 convertible will also be auctioned Friday to fund scholarships for scholars participating in Northeast Texas Community College’s Carroll Shelby Automotive Program near Shelby’s birthplace.

Donor Barry Smith, owner of Legendary GT Continuation Cars in Roaring Springs, Pennsylvania, built the vehicle from the original 1960s-era Mustang, with a factory VIN and original title as a 1968 Ford Mustang.

“The car was completely dismantled to be remodeled into the Shelby GT350 model; built in the same spirit as those who won the FIA World Sports Car Championship in 1965 and dominated racing at the time,” Barrett-Jackson said in the auction description.

The Wimbledon White vehicle with a 4-speed transmission is likely to sell at a prices that exceed market value because of the charity connection, Klinger said.

Shelby vehicles, named for automotive designer and racing driver Carroll Shelby who died in 2012 at 89, have earned a cult following.

When Carroll Shelby’s generation car program enrolled its first generation 16 years ago, Barrett-Jackson noted that Carroll Shelby said, “I want to help the young people in their lives through the industry that has been so smart to me. By offering them valuable new skills, they can become proud and productive members of society.

The 1965 Shelby GT350 is one of 562 vehicles for its model year and, notably, one of the final eight crafted in 1965, and will be auctioned on Saturday, according to Barrett-Jackson.

“She is known as ‘Triple Nickel’ within the esteemed Shelthrough network and dubbed by Ric Kopek, co-founder of the Shelthrough American Automobile Club, as ‘a handful of nickels’ due to her unique serial number ‘555’ Shelthrough. ” the auction company said.

The sale includes vintage photographs, letters from the owner, racing history and documentation accompanying the sale. It has undergone cosmetic innovations and restoration, a restored suspension. The vehicle has a total of 39,170 miles.
