Kia’s new carnival receives pre-orders on the first day

Kia’s new Carnival van, which will depart next month, has set a new record for one-day pre-orders for anyone in Korea.

Kia said Wednesday that it had sold a total of 23,006 carnivals on the first day of pre-orders, surpassing the previous record of 18941 set through Sorrento Kia’s newest SUV also released in March.

Carnival, first introduced in 1998, has sold more than 2 million cars worldwide.

The new Carnival underwent a complete renovation for the first time in six years reinforced with the newest technologies and advanced usability. It features the intelligent electric sliding door, which allows the driving force to open the door with a smart key, only through the state near it, while the moment row seats of a separate seat style can tilt approximately 180 degrees.

It is also supplied with intelligent cruise control, pre-collision avoidance assistance and lane tracking assistance.

Prices from W31.6 to W41.05 million for a new or 11-seater, and from W38.24 to W43.54 million for a seven-seater (US$1 – W1 193).
