The move to the new 40,000-square-foot building in St. PetersburgJohn’s Modwen Park (a new business park on the outskirts of the city) is part of Kia’s plan to deliver quality, forward-thinking technology to the next generation of automotive professionals. .

The building, customised exclusively for Kia UK, will facilitate complex training in electrification, STEM skills and upskilling of apprentices and adult technicians (up to 1,500 per year) and enable them to electrify consistently.

The new facility is expected to employ between 15 and 17 full-time employees. They will feature a reception area and showroom, showcasing Kia’s global store concept and new corporate identity, as seen at Kia’s latest dealerships.

The workshop will feature the newest ramps, tools and resources to “prepare apprentices and technicians for the demanding situations of tomorrow’s automotive landscape. “
