Kia revealed the updated hatchback sedan on Tuesday night, and usually looks like the same animal on the outside, the interior is getting a great high-quality renovation. And before asking, no, Kia didn’t give the main percentage points on the powertrain. The settings will be revealed at a later date, the Korean automaker said.
Starting from the outside, it’s still the same great design we saw years ago, but with some updates. The headlights benefit from a new design with an updated LED signature, while the taillights are also updated. Backlight accessories are now moving down on the taillight design and Kia said the built-in flashing lights now feature 10 LEDs in a grid trend to mimic the look of a checkered flag.
Again, without delving into the main points of the powertrain, Kia said that those who opt for “more powerful” Stinger models will also gain advantages from the enlarged exhausts, which appear large in the photo provided. A new rear diffuser also helps keep things cool in the back.
While we don’t know if those adjustments will translate precisely into stingers in the U.S., Kia talked about North America when talking about optional packages, so we know we’re in position of some form of updates. Kia showed that the United States will see the Stinger again, but refused to offer details. A spokesman just told us to expect news later this year, “and it’s going to be fun!” Consider the open hypothesis box.
For packages, the Stinger’s feature menu will come with a “Black Package,” which adds soft 19-inch black-finished wheels, another rear upper and black for rear-view case housings, and side finish. In addition to the 19-inch blackened tires, the new 18-inch and 19-inch wheels will also be available on the outside of the black group.

The main adjustments are being taken inside the Stinger, where Kia has provided the interior with what look like much more sumptuous materials. The Interior of the Stinger is large enough, but the padded leather seats (probably only for South Korea), the contrasting new seam for the door panels and the aluminum or carbon fiber edge around the center console are actually the game. The Stinger’s tablet-style touchscreen is also updated. There is now a 10.25-inch screen on the most sensitive dashboard.
We don’t have a company date for the date we see the 2021 Stinger will succeed in North America, however, Kia said the car will go on sale internationally in the third quarter of this year. Those looking for a little more luxury from the Stinger had their desire in those updates.
