the magazine loaded

Crete has the maximum in the front row, especially in terms of leg and knee.

Seltos has the most spacious trunk and the largest shoulder space for rear passengers.

Crete offers maximum head and knee for rear occupants.

Renault and Nissan SUVs are larger on the outside but smaller on the inside.

The front seats of the Crete are the maximum position of all SUVs.

Kia recently entered the compact SUV segment in India with the launch of Seltos with a launch value ranging from Rs 9.69 lakh to Rs 15.99 lakh (former Delhi showroom). Compete with Hyundai Crete, Nissan Kicks and Renault Captur. Now let’s see which of those compact SUVs offers maximum space:

Size

The Nissan Kicks is the longest SUV and its width is the same as that of the Renault Captur. Its wheelbase measures the same as that of the Captur.

The Kicks and Crete will offer 400 liters of shipping area, while Seltos outperforms everyone with 433 litres of luggage capacity.

The Hyundai Creta is smaller in all facets compared to the other three, in height.

Space in the row

The Hyundai Creta has legroom between all compact SUVs.

In terms of knee pads too, the Crete has the maximum to offer and this also with an impressive margin.

However, the Captur is the best car for larger passengers, as it offers maximum free height.

The front seats of the Crete have the length, width and height of the 4 compact SUVs.

At 1400 mm, the Crete has the widest cabin.

Overall, the Hyundai Crete is the most spacious compact SUV in terms of front row seats.

Second row space

The Seltos can comfortably accommodate 3 adults as it has the maximum shoulder among all its peers.

The Hyundai Creta has a roof guard at the back.

Even in the legroom at the back, Crete still dominates the segment.

In the case of the rear seat of these SUVs, the Crete has the maximum width proposed, allowing comfortably accommodated 3 adults.

The Seltos floor hump is forty-five mm at the top and 325 mm wide, while the Kicks’ bump is 75 mm on top and 275 mm wide. So, at the Kia, you can keep your feet in the pothole, but in Kicks, you’d be more comfortable hitting your feet on both sides.

Prices

Kia Seltos and Hyundai Crete can start with prices, but they are much more expensive than the Nissan Kicks and Renault Captur in terms of high-end variants.

The Seltos will have 3 engines in total: two petrol and one diesel, all with automatic transmission option.

The Hyundai Creta also comes with 3 engines, one petrol and two diesel, where 1.6-liter engines come with an AT option.

Nissan’s Kicks now offers a manual transmission for its 1.5-liter gasoline and diesel engines.

The Renault Captur receives the same pair of propulsion systems as the Kicks, which lack an automatic option.

The lack of an automatic option helps keep Kicks and Captur costs low compared to Korean SUV offerings.
