Maha Navami (Day 4): In Bengal, Maha Navami is observed differently, following the Para-Viddha rule. The day of Mahasnan arrives, Shodashopachar Puja and the worship of Goddess Durga under the call of Mahisasuramardini.
Vijayadashami (Day 5): culminates with Durga Visarjan and Sindoor Utsav, which marks the farewell rite of Goddess Durga. Unlike other states, Vijayadashami in Bengal is based solely on Tithi, disregarding Muhurata. The day is all about celebrating the triumph of the Lord. Rama and Goddess Durga.
