Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On January 15, Audi announced a key change in its top leadership for the Chinese market. Starting April 1, 2024, Johannes Roscheck will assume the role of President of Audi China, taking over the reins from Jürgen Unser, who has skillfully overseen Audi’s operations in the world’s largest auto market.
Johannes Roscheck, recently Director of Corporate Control
Jürgen Unser, who has ably led Audi’s business in China since January 2022, leaves a lasting legacy in advancing the electrification strategy. Under his leadership, plans have been implemented for the new production facilities of Audi FAW NEV Co. , and it is expected to produce fully electric cars for the Chinese market by the end of 2024. Other notable milestones achieved during Unser’s tenure include the expansion of the joint venture, venture capital partnerships, and the creation of an Audi-branded charging infrastructure in China.
According to the original plan, Jürgen Unser returns to Germany after two years in Beijing to take up new day-to-day jobs within the Volkswagen Group.
