Jeep will soon reveal the new Compass: here’s what you can expect

The all-electric Jeep Compass is despite everything that comes. Jeep plans to unveil the electric Compass before the end of the year, with an eye toward launching in Europe in 2025. Here’s what we know so far about the new electric SUV.

Jeep plans to revamp the logo of rugged SUVs in the electric age. Under the wing of parent company Stellantis, Jeep has abundant generation and resources.

The brand’s first electric vehicle, the Jeep Avenger, was presented in January 2023. However, it was designed primarily for the European market. The SUV maker believes its upcoming models will help revitalize the Jeep brand.

Jeep introduced its world’s first electric vehicle, the Wagoneer S, in May. The midsize luxury electric SUV is “clearly a Jeep and 100 percent electric in every single way,” said CEO Antonio Filosa.

Based on Stellantis’ STLA Large platform, the Wapassneer S develops up to six hundred horsepower and 617 lb-ft of torque. According to Jeep, it will travel “more than three hundred miles” on a single charge.

After the Wagoneer, Jeep will launch its Recon styling powered by the Wrangler. The Recon brings the spirit of the Wrangler into the EV era with features like removable doors and windows.

Jeep will also launch a new Renegade EV for under $25,000. According to Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis, it will reach key markets including the United States and Europe.

We’re told a new Jeep EV is in the works and will debut before the end of 2024. Speaking to Auto Express, Jeep UK managing director Kris Cholmondeley said the new Compass would be unveiled in November.

The new Compass EV will be presented in hybrid, PHEV and all-electric versions, in line with Jeep’s “freedom of choice” strategy.

Although the Wagoneer S is Jeep’s first global electric vehicle, Cholmondeley said he’s “even more excited” about the upcoming Compass.

Jeep’s UK managing director believes the new styling will be key to gaining market share. The Compass EV is expected to lead Jeep’s resurgence in Europe as it belongs to one of the top segments.

The Compass EV will be based on the STLA Medium platform. Launched in July 2023, Stellantis claims that the platform offers more than 700 km of WLTP diversity with a suite of functionalities. The package offers a WLTP diversity of more than 500 km.

Like the Wagoneer S, the Compass EV is expected to launch with a “Trailhawk” edition or more rugged styling to rival the Land Rover Defender.

Jeep will prioritize the Compass in Europe and the United Kingdom, with its launch in 2025, ahead of the Wagoneer S and Recon.

I wouldn’t hold my breath. Remember the “Recon” that according to the last time there was talk of something new about it (earlier this year), it was intended to arrive with the 2025 models in 2024 (we intend that any day that the 2025 models arrive) and the first full year of sales (from January 1 to December 1) would be 2025. . . The only thing we’ve heard about since the beginning of the year is that it may only have petrol engine characteristics (i. e. no engine). electrical characteristics). It’s that there is surely nothing, no MSRP rumors, no range rumors, no acceleration specs, no images of overhauled vehicles, surely nothing has been released about a vehicle that is destined to hit the road at any time. You might almost think that those claims of a 2024 release might not be entirely objective. . . From time to time their intended lifestyles are analyzed, as in this article, although in an indistinctly and non-specific way, Boogy Man, or Santa Claus.

In the United States, Jeep has still announced plans to market an electric Compass. However, given that the logo is looking to renew its sales in the United States, the launch of the Compass EV may make sense.

Meanwhile, Jeep plans to launch an electric Gladiator pickup truck that can rival Rivian’s R1T and Tesla’s Cybertruck. It also plans electric models Wrangler and Grand Cherokee. However, according to recent UAW agreements, they will go into production at least until 2027.

Jeep’s CEO believes the Wagoneer S will attract new customers. The Jeep logo is aimed “primarily at Tesla,” according to Filosa, “but there are many others. “

What do you think? Would you buy an electric Jeep Compass? If so, how much would you be willing to pay and what do you expect? Let us know in the comments.
