NEW ON YOUTUBE: Cash-for-scrap list
It’s that time again. The Easter Jeep Safari returns in 2024 and a quartet of new concepts will attract thousands of Jeep owners in Moab, Utah, for off-road fun. Every year, Jeep brings radically new concepts for the occasion and this year is no different. Mentioned through the Jeep Vacationeer Concept, the new SUVs also come with a Jeep Low Down Concept, a Willys Dispatcher Concept, and a Gladiator Rubicon High Top Concept.
These new Jeep concepts are just as cool as last year’s, which included an incredible 1978 Jeep Cherokee with a modern hybrid powertrain and a 650-horsepower electric Wrangler called the “Magneto. “However, they’re still pretty cool.
As the name suggests, the Jeep Vacationeer is based on the Wagoneer, which was later transformed into a sort of old-fashioned off-road RV. Its mint green paint, along with a thin strip of wood paneling, gives it an old-fashioned vibe without overdoing it. and comes with a temperature-controlled, solar-powered carbon fiber RedTail Overland Skyloft roof tent. But it’s also a true all-rounder, with Method 701 bead-grip racing wheels, 35-inch BFGoodrich muddy terrain tires, bumper-mounted headlights, and roof-mounted headlights.
Fashion designer Kiel James Patrick designed the interior, equipping it with Tupelo leather seats with red and yellow checkered inserts depicting small Jeeps. The Vacationeer also doesn’t have rear seats of any kind, for extra storage. What it doesn’t lack is power, thank you. all the way to the high-performance edition of the 510-horsepower twin-turbocharged 3. 0-liter inline-six Hurricane engine.
It wouldn’t be a Jeep occasion without Willys’ call somewhere. This time, it’s the Willys Dispatcher concept, which would evoke the “nostalgia of the early post-war civilian Jeep,” according to Jeep. However, it combines this nostalgia with modern technology, such as that based on the Wrangler 4xe Hybrid.
The Willys Dispatcher may look cute and old-fashioned, with its green paint and white metal wheels, but at heart it’s a serious all-rounder. These amazing metalies are wrapped in 36-inch Super Traxion tires, feature a classic-looking Warn winch. Dana 50 Avantech front and rear axles and on-board air compressor.
Designed to showcase Jeep Performance (JPP) parts, the Gladiator Rubicon High Top is the Gladiator with the highest supply I’ve ever seen. Dana 60 front and rear axles with matching 5. 38:1 gears, AccuAir adjustable air suspension, and monstrous 40-inch tires. BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A Ko3 tires wrapped around KMC Grenade Crawl Beadlock wheels make this the full-capacity off-road Jeep you bring to the Easter event.
It also has an American Expedition Vehicles modified front bumper, a Warn winch, Rock Slide Engineering power steps, and a DECKED trunk garage system. The look is a two-tone Ginger Snap metallic paint scheme.
Jeep just announced that the Wrangler 392 is headed for scrap metal in the sky, but not before the logo turns it into a monstrous Easter concept. The Low Down concept will pay homage to the Wrangler Lower 40 concept from the 43rd Easter Safari held 15 years ago. .
The old Lower 40 concept fitted 40-inch wheels on a Wrangler with standard suspension, to keep medium gravity down. However, Jeep has gone a step further this time around, fitting 42-inch BFGoodrich Krawler all-terrain tires, wrapped around it. ball wheels, on a Wrangler 392 with inventory suspension. To install the large tires, large clearance carbon fiber fenders were installed, allowing tire clearance without extending the Wrangler’s ride height. The Dana 60 axles update the Dana 44 axles on the original 392, but no adjustments have been made to the 392-cubic-inch V8, which still makes 475 horsepower.
The 58th Easter Jeep Safari will take place March 23-31, so stay tuned for more updates on what Jeep’s new off-road concepts are doing in Moab.
