Arizona State quarterback Jayden Daniels is expected to have a wonderful season in 2020 according to the most sensible school football rankings in the position.
ASU sophomore, who threw 2,943 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2019 as a true rookie, is ranked in the Top 10 of many quarterbacks, alluding to what’s to come.
Daniels was also included in the watching charts for the Maxwell Award and the Davey O’Brien Award.
247 Sports ranked Daniels as the 39th school football player by 2020. He’s the eighth quarterback on the list.
Chris Hummer wrote: “It’s a projection, but it’s a projection we feel smart to do. Daniels had a freshman season forged for the Sun Devils, with 2,943 yards and 17 touchdowns as opposed to just two interceptions. He also showed a flash of drama, at the head of a quartet of winning records. Arizona State spent the off-season building a new attack (plan and personnel) around Daniels. Expect it to emerge as an elite caller in 2020.”
247 Sports isn’t the only one who boasts of Daniels’ perspective in 2020.
Yahoo Sports recently ranked Daniels as the country’s quarterback for 2020.

Daniels ranked no. 7 on The Sporting News list of the country’s most productive school quarterbacks.
Bill Bender wrote: “Daniels was inspired as a rookie with 2,943 yards, 17 touchdowns and two interceptions with the Sun Devils last season, adding 355 yards per land. He also had five 300-yard games. Daniels continues this development. the time of year, and that will give the state of Arizona a chance in the Pac-12 South.”
CBS Sports has ranked Daniels as the quarterbacks to follow in 2020.
Ben Kercheval wrote: “Daniels has a lot of glare, but he also sought to command a school football attack. His placement of the ball is ahead of that of many freshmen in his stage.”

Brad Crawford of 247 Sports projected that Daniels would be next season’s fifth-best school quarterback.

Sports Illustrated ranked Daniels as the country’s No. Nine quarterback.
Bryan Driskell wrote: “Having Daniels in the Top 10 is the highest projection rating I’ve ever done in this analysis. Daniels doesn’t have the numbers that compare to the other quarterbacks on that list, especially when it comes to touchdowns. Daniels had just had 20 touchdowns overall in 2019, however, he showed an impressive armpower last season. Daniels showed wonderful value in the away win over Michigan State and pitched for 408 yards and three touchdowns in November, disappointing Oregon (31-28). More consistent, the “bad games” we saw against Utah and the state of Florida, will temporarily emerge as one of the nation’s most productive quarterbacks.”
