The car’s logo plans to use virtual reality to immerse potential consumers in each and every new product it launches. Interested parties will use VR ‘experience packs’ with VR headsets in showrooms in the UK and overseas, allowing them to explore full-scale vehicles. models with a 360-degree path, as well as animations highlighting technical details.
Jaguar Land Rover announces plans to roll out the virtual reality experience to more than 1,500 stores in 85 markets. The first vehicle to implement virtual reality will be the Land Rover Discovery, and the generation will also be rolled out to all upcoming new cars in 2017.
Andy Goss, Group Chief Commercial Officer, said: “The virtual reality experience will allow retailers to break the ice with consumers and inject even more fun into the buying process of our vehicles. “
In October, Jaguar Land Rover opened a new store in Westfield Stratford City, in partnership with virtual retailer Rockar, which prioritises visitor fun and transparency.
The logo also hosted a touchscreen display of the newest and most durable automotive technologies at the Paris Motor Show last year.
