‘I’ve never noticed it so bad’: Hertz consumers say problems with rental cars in Buffalo are an ongoing problem

CHEEKTOWAGA (WKBW) — Many of us expect delays when we travel, but those who rent cars from Hertz at Buffalo Niagara International Airport say the wait is out of control.

He left the airport to look for something to eat while waiting for his car. After 3 hours, he returned to the crowded rental domain with dozens of people facing the same problem. You can see the full story below.

“I’ve never noticed it so bad,” said Nicole Enderle, a regular traveler. “It’s painful. “

He travels back and forth to Buffalo to paint and while there, he rents a car. He started at Avis, had some problems, and then moved to Hertz.

“And they were better, but when summer came, Hertz also got worse with long lines and lack of employees,” Enderle said.

He waited in line for hours on Sunday, Aug. 11, but says he couldn’t get a car because workers told him he didn’t make his reservation well in advance.

“And one of the other tips that he discussed in his last report is to hire somewhere other than the airport, but there’s no one open on Sundays,” Enderle said.

We have received several emails from others informing us that they have experienced problems.

“I just read your story about the 7-hour wait at BUF airport and your reaction that it’s an anomaly,” one viewer wrote. “It’s stupid. It’s happened to me at least three times this year. “

So what’s the problem? A Hertz spokesperson sent a statement saying summer is still busy, but weather events like Hurricane Debby are causing long waits.
