Today’s Italian Grand Prix stopped after 27 laps to fix the barriers after Charles Leclerc crashed from Ferrari in Parabolica.
The track had just regained the green flag, following a protective car to Kevin Magnussen’s transparent Haas, who had lost strength and stopped near the pit entrance, when Leclerc made a strong effect on the last corner.
Leclerc had been the only Ferrari left in the race, after Sébastien Vettel withdrew after six laps due to a brake failure, but Monaco’s driving force lost the rear of his car to the Parabolic and hit the tyre barrier directly.unhinged after the effect and was quick to get out of the car.
With the race resuming after a 30-minute break, race leader Lewis Hamilton faces a 10-second stop-and-start penalty for serving after opposing the pit lane closure of the first protection car of the era to allow sheriffs to push Magnussen’s crashed car into the pits.Antonio Giovinazzi of Alfa Romeo also entered the pits this time and will have to meet the same penalty.
The race resumed with Hamilton leading Lance Stroll and Pierre Gasly, while Carlos Sainz’s two McLarens and Lando Norris, who had run moment and third before pit stops and protective cars, restarted in sixth and seventh.
