Police issued a public appeal about the horrific death of a dog in West Sydney last month.
The injured dog was discovered through passers-by at the corner of Silverdale and Elton Roads in Silverdale on June 28 last.
Whoever made the creepy discovery went to Facebook to express his displeasure.
“I stopped because of what we thought: a dog that hit a car,” Lauren Davis wrote.
“The living deficient dog, with its mouth closed and obviously visual for the new bloody wounds as a result of an aerial fight or a similar disgusting act.
He explained how he controlled himself to remove the tape and take the dog to the nearest veterinarian, but died on the way. The vet informed the police.
“It’s not entertainment, it’s inhumane, vile and downright bad,” Davis said.
Police said the dog, a two-year-old Kelpie crusader, was injured and his snout was closed.
Nepean Regional Police Command officers continue to investigate and are asking for data to be filed.
Authorities would like to speak to the driving force of a recent white Toyota HiLux who noticed the domain at the time the dog found it.
