Maserati has finally unveiled its GranCabrio Folgore and, in news that may not come as a surprise to many, it’s magnificent. There are currently very few all-electric four-seater convertibles on the market, allowing Maser to arrive first before arrival. products such as the Bentley EXP 12 Speed 6e or the Genesis X Convertible.
From a design standpoint, it’s. . . as an electric edition of the recently announced GranCabrio Trophy. There are some key differences, however, such as the addition of a now-planned grille and air deflector for the rear passengers. It will also continue to offer the iconic bronzed copper finish.
The transmission is treated via the same three-engine setup as the GranTurismo Folgore, meaning around 750 horsepower and just under 1000 torques shipped to all 4 wheels; Now about 80 kilograms more help. It is then paired with a 92. 5 kWh battery to provide a claimed diversity of 280 miles.
Another great replacement for its Folgore siblings is a generator of its potential, to the Abarth 500, which Maserati says may sound “identical” both inside and out. Interesting.
Price for the GranCabrio Folgore is yet to be shown, but it is expected to increase the £180,000 of the GranTurismo Folgore a bit.
In addition to the GranCabriolet, Maserati has once again confirmed that the all-electric MC20 will also arrive next year, as it pushes its sights towards an all-electric brand. With a magnificent convertible at its heart.
