Will Fernando Alonso be the James Bond?
I do not.
But he’s got the charm, he’s got it, and he’s busy putting together an Aston Martin collection that 007 would be proud of.
Your toy box will soon look like this:
£2. 5 million Valkyrie hypercar
£2 million Brave
£1 million vintage DB5
£500,000 Vantage GT3 race car
DTM race car valued at £500,000
DBX707 SUV for £200,000
This represents only about 007 million pounds.
Valiant is Alonso’s baby, the result of a commission from the F1 champion.
He gave it his all on the hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The road-legal race is powered through a monstrous 745-hp manual V12 driving the rear wheels.
Exotic fabrics and tricked-out suspensions add to the excitement and cost.
Alonso said: “The interaction between Aston Martin F1 and Aston Martin has been more than ever for this car.
“More power, less weight. Everything a racing driver loves and the result is a moving art painting.
“For me, the sound of the V12 is a very special feeling of the car.
“Some of the aerodynamic features of the floor, front splitter and diffuser were a challenge. For a track car, this is difficult. But for a road car, you have to go over speed bumps and everything else.
Alonso has a DBX707 as his daily engine and is about to put those big eyebrows behind the wheel of his own 1,100hp Valkyrie, painted green and lime like his F1 car.
He said: “I love my DBX. La handling, braking. The platform is super stable. I’m amazed when I drive it.
“The Valkyrie will be delivered soon. My birthday is July 29th, so it’s the right time.
Have you noticed the online clip of Max Verstappen driving a Valkyrie through a tunnel?
“Yes, I’ll wait for him outside the tunnel!” But no, I mean, it’s whatever we all love.
“We are passionate about cars, we drive the most productive cars in the world every two weeks, but in our general life we also need to drive a durable car.
“I have an Aston Martin DTM racing car, I’m thinking of buying a Vantage GT3 and I’m also looking for a DB5. Silver grey, the old colour. Totally original. It’s a complicated search.
Are there any facts in the rumors about the next James Bond?
“I would love to, but maybe I’m not a smart actor [laughs]. He may simply be the voice actor in the most damaging parts of the film. I’m at a point in my life where I’m looking to have a small collection and Aston Martin is known for its giant collector cars.
Sound like you’re in love with Aston Martin?
“Yes, I’m more and more attracted to the logo. I’ve been a big fan, but in recent years the products have progressed and the logo is still very exclusive.
“When you buy a car of this price, with this type of performance, they treat you like a unique example. Aston Martin takes the car away from its customers.

If you love cars, you’ll love the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
This is Glasto on wheels
Here are some of my strengths:
1. Red Bull doing Red Bull things with synchronised drift cars, rally stars, stunt bikes and F1 aces Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo.
The supercar paddock is packed with engines costing more than a million pounds than a Dubai shopping mall.
Gold Instagram. Me love, I love the £2. 5 million Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale.
2. Porsche, Lamborghini, Fiat and Ford in Cartier’s garden of classics. . . with TRACTORS.
A plow match? You can get it for free, Jeremy.
3. O-MG. The magnificent MG Cyber GTS, a hardtop edition of the Cyberster.
It will be with us next year, 60 years after the MGB GT, the fixed head edition of the MGB.
The great Goodwood exhibition celebrated one hundred years of MG.
4. BMW M has something tasty and this year it was the M5 sedan.
High-revving V8 and electric motor combo, 727 HP, all-wheel drive, adaptive suspension, for 4 and luggage.
Give me the keys.
5. Ford bombed the King Of The Hill timed shootout on Sunday with Supervan 4. 2. Ford’s wild Dakar racer, the Raptor T1, made its world debut.
6. Brown code. The 2,000 horsepower Lotus Eviya X crashed less than ten meters from the finish.
This deserves a plaque.
7. And finally. Array Array who put the shitty Ford in the bathroom?
