Footage has been released of a suspect allegedly stealing a vehicle for sale from a test setup in North York earlier this month.
Toronto police say they responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at Allen Road and Rimrock Road on March 11 at 3 p. m.
There, police learned that a suspect had arrived to check on him driving a Jeep Grand Wagoneer that was for sale.
Police said the suspect was allegedly taken to the Jeep and sped off before the guy promoting the vehicle could enter from the passenger side.
The suspect returned the vehicle, police said.
On Thursday, police described the suspect as having short black hair and a dark beard. Police say they last saw him wearing glasses, dark shoes, beige khaki pants, a gray hoodie and a dark Nike jacket with an orange logo on the back.
Anyone should contact law enforcement at 416-808-3200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
