One of YouTube’s most well-known used car dealerships has shared three long-running classics that are a lot of fun to drive and whose price will increase as they get older.
Matt Goodwin runs the High Peak Autos YouTube channel, where he creates videos featuring his used dealership’s most recent purchases and recommending reliable models for the audience to buy.
In a recent video, Matt looks at long-lasting affordable classics that owners are unlikely to lose money on, stating that the Peugeot 406 Coupe is rare but still affordable and looks very attractive.
He explained: “Let’s take a look at this one, for example. It looks, at a glance, a little Ferrari, and that’s all thanks to Pininfarina. That’s a beautiful coupe that, I mean, look at the rear pillars. It is something sublime.
“You get great plush leather seats, there’s room for 4 other people and to be more sensible your purchase and maintenance are reasonable. Matt also advised used car buyers to look for an old-fashioned model with plenty of room for their relatives of the P38-era Range Rover from the 1990s.
He added: “You’ll think I’ve lost my way here, but bear with me. It’s a Range Rover, particularly the 1994 to 2002 model known as the P38. Now costs are on the horizon, if you act quickly you can still get a small deal.
“There are still plenty of them, so it’s worth being able to buy a fairly smart one. They were available with either a 2. 5-litre BMW diesel engine, which is reliable but very slow, or a 4. 0-litre petrol engine] from BMW. Rover, or a 4. 6 liter V8.
