In April 2019, Daimler took a step back from the progression of GLC F-Cell, after many years of research on mobile fuel technologies. In addition to this decision, Daimler absolutely did not abandon the hydrogen powertrain, but focused basically on another application. In fact, a partnership with Volvo to expand heavy-fuel mobile cars is likely to begin in September 2020, establishing a new bankruptcy for hydrogen technologies.
