Iconic Quail Rally Returns to Carmel on May 4

Returning to Quail Lodge in Carmel, California, on Saturday, May 4, the Quail Motorcycle Gathering celebrates its fourteenth consecutive year. Designed for motorcycle enthusiasts, this family-friendly occasion is highly anticipated in the automotive world and promises a jam-packed schedule of exhibits. activities, suppliers and much more.

By combining new models and one-of-a-kind vintage motorcycles, the occasion aims to honor the game’s timelessness and the cultural diversity that surrounds it. The Encuentro is a rare opportunity to see some of the latest (and oldest!) machines in person, sharing the weekend with motorcycling celebrities and other fans.

This year’s event is expected to feature four models, in addition to the centennial of the American Motorcyclists Association and Vespa. These are in addition to more than ten additional classic models, including Choppers, on- and off-road competitions, antiques, and more. The Suzuki Hayabusa and Ducati 916 also celebrate life anniversaries. Vespa elegance will shine through on the world-famous Vespa scooter, which is both a fashion icon and a practical urban mainstay.

The occasion is known for showcasing notable attendees and builders, and this year, there’s a lot to highlight. Hailing from Wenatchee, Washington, Steve Wellman will showcase his hyperbike concept inspired by the 2006 Suzuki Hayabusa, which reaches over 300 mph. Rancho Santa Margarita, Pikes Peak motorcycle record holder Rennie Scaysbrook will be there on his 2018 Aprilia Tuono 1100 Factory.

Each year, the Gathering’s organizers invite an influential figure to speak to the public, a wonderful way to hear real stories about the world of the game told through those who have lived them.
