Suzuki spent 14 of his 19 MLB seasons with the Mariners.

The Mariners will retire Suzuki’s number on August 9 at T-Mobile Park. The ceremony will be part of Ichiro’s Hall of Fame weekend Aug. 8-10, when Seattle hosts the Tampa Bay Rays.

Suzuki will join Ken Griffey Jr., Edgar Martinez and Jackie Robinson as the only players to have their jersey numbers retired by the Mariners.
