The Hyundai Ioniq Five has been a compact EV among consumers for more than two years, with sales by 31% to more than 44,000 sets in 2024.
This year, Hyundai brought two new flavors Ioniq Five: the XRT off-road and the N.
I recently tested a 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N in Soultronic Orange with an as-tested price of $67,685. I was impressed by the EV’s retro rally car styling, supercar performance, and its advanced suite of driving and infotainment tech.
11 The outstanding characteristics of assistance make this a high performance car.
Despite having been classified as a SUV, Hyundai ioniq five n is a hot hatchback in the most true sense. The vintage rally corridors of the 80s and early 90s, such as the Lancia Delta Integale.
The revised N front fairing has aerodynamic elements, such as active wings and air louvers for forward cooling. At the rear, the N is supplied with a giant spoiler in the most sensible and a diffuser that protrudes from the bumper to optimize airflow.
Compared to the standard Ioniq 5, the N is about an inch lower, two inches wider at the bottom due to wider tires, and over three inches longer due to the rear diffuser.
The N is equipped with a 233-horsepower permanent management synchronous electric motor up front and a more powerful 378-horsepower unit out back. Together, they produce 601 total system horsepower, nearly double the 320 horsepower of the regular AWD Ioniq 5.
The Ioniq Five N has an “N-Smile Boost” as it triggers a kind of additional force transience. By pushing the orange “NGB” button on the guide wheel, the overall force of the Ioniq five n increases from 601 to 641 horsepower in 10-second bursts.
The Ioniq Five N takes everything that’s glorious in EVs of the best functionality, instant torque and pleated acceleration and packs it into a package with the visceral pleasures of an internal combustion rally car.
When the smart functionality is activated, it looks like a tachometer and the car turns, as it has a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine under the hood, thanks to the Hyundai N Sound system.
Launching the EV and its service as a change of E and allows you to make its way through simulated gears designed to imitate the sensation of a double eight speed transmission.
It gives a simulated ice delight that seems surreal, but is different from any other vehicle in the market.
Hyundai claims that the 4,900-pound SUV can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3. 25 seconds and succeed at a more responsive speed of 162 mph.
According to Hyundai, the IONIQ Five N can rate from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes at a rate of more than 250 kW. With a 240V two-point evaluator, your batteries can be charged from 10% to one hundred percent in about 7 hours.
The SUV also has a bidirectional load capacity, which means that you can obtain small devices outside the vehicle.
Hyundai has loaded its EV with a wide range of technologies designed to maximize the Ioniq Five’s prospective functionality on the race track.
For example, controllers can manually adjust the torque distributed between the front and rear axes. There is also an electronic sliding differential limited to the functionality of the curves and a thermal control formula so that its battery pack limits the loss of power due to the upper heat.
The battery control formula also leads to prepare its batteries before driving for other types of races, such as a “drag” mode for bursts of full power or a “track” mode that hierartes held the performance, a course of racing.
The Ioniq Five also has the regn of brakes N, which maximizes the regenerative braking capacity of its EV transmission formula to the mechanical brakes of the vehicle to restrict brake fading.
Finally, there’s the Drift Optimizer, also known as the drift mode, which is helping the strength of the motif hold one in a corner.
Special Livian Sports Cube seats of the Ioniq Five N come with “N” Luminators logos. Leather leather seats with heating and ventilated are well reinforced and are proven exceptionally in corners. However, they fit manually, which can be a bit uncomfortable when entering and leaving the vehicle.
The IONIQ Five 12. 3-inch touchscreen runs the newest edition of the Hyundai business infotainment system, which is easy to navigate and blame for the features.
The screen also houses the many NA functionality menus and a camera in the surround.
The Ioniq 5 N comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Ioniq Five N is delivered as popular among almost all protection and motive power assist technologies in the Hyundai Arsenal, adding a monitor to the surrounding view, blind spot monitor, death collision avoidance, navigation-based intelligent cruise control, track assist and track assist.
