Hyundai Elantra 2021 receives N Line treatment

The 2021 Hyundai Elantra is a sedan. Now its functionality is also getting a little sharper, with the launch of the Elantra N Line, which Hyundai announced on Wednesday.

The Elantra N Line looks wonderful and conveys Hyundai’s geometric design language. Model-specific-looking skirts and 18-inch wheels give the Elantra a wonderful look, while larger front air intakes, an integrated mouth beak, two exhaust pipes and a rear diffuser give the most competitive nature of this small sports sedan.

However, it’s not just about the show. The Elantra N Line runs on a 1.6-liter turbo I4 engine that generates 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed manual transmission and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission will be proposed, and Hyundai says the N Line has a multi-arm rear suspension, larger front brake discs and a stiffer suspension configuration.

This thing looks great.

Inside, the Elantra N Line has a new guide wheel, sports seats and steel pedals, and DCT-equipped models have gearshift cams. Otherwise, the N Line has the same internal device as the popular Elantra, adding a touchscreen infotainment formula compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Speaking of technology, the N Line will feature a forward collision warning, lane assistance, automatic traffic lights, blind spot tracking and a rear cross-traffic alert. Hyundai’s smart virtual key will also be included for Android users.
