Hyundai recently announced the launch of a new logo called Ioniq that will exclusively sell electric cars. Not only that, however, its first cars will be based on critically acclaimed electric car concepts brought in beyond the year. While it is beyond exciting for us, Hyundai will go the extra mile to celebrate and publicize the new logo by asking Korean pop organization BTS to create a song for it.
At Autoblog, we are car critics, not music critics, so for serious research of this song, you’ll probably move elsewhere. But for what it’s worth, the song sounds pretty great to our ears. The lyrics are a bit horrendoal with allusions to speed and energy. And, of course, “Ioniq” is repeated and repeated and repeated and repeated and repeated.
Anyway, in effect, we don’t have brains or other professional songs used across car brands like the song for the Jeep Renegade by X Ambassadors. If you find that you are a fan of the BTS song, you can download it loosely at this link. Fans can also enter Hyundai’s Instagram page and win a music cassette player featuring the band’s song and audio greetings.
