The first season of “The White Lotus” took the audience to an impressively charming Hawaiian hotel where only the wealthiest can vacation. Who was in the coffin in the flash-forward at the beginning of the series.
The HBO press described the first season as follows:
“The White Lotus” is a social satire that takes place in an exclusive Hawaiian hotel and follows the vacations of various hotel visitors for a week as they rejuvenate in paradise. But with each passing day, a darker complexity emerges in the best. travelers, the cheerful employees of the hotel and the idyllic position itself.
The upcoming bankruptcy of “The White Lotus” leaves Hawaii and follows another organization of travelers as they head to other White Lotus assets and temporarily settle among its inhabitants.
The season features an all-new plot, a new location, and a new cast of characters: for two drawbacks in Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya McQuoid, a role for which Coolidge won an Emmy, and Jon Gries as Greg, the boy Tanya met in season one. Coolidge’s Emmy was one of 10 first-season wins won at the 2022 Primetime and Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
The show’s season of the moment takes the audience to “an exclusive Sicilian resort” and follows “the exploits of visitors and workers over the course of a week. “
