The Buick Encore GX 2020 is popular with a wide variety of active protection features that homeowners will need to take advantage of. After all, head-on collision alert and automatic emergency braking can save lives, but we can see if some of the jargon used to describe those active protection technologies confuse drivers.
Fortunately, most of these active protection systems are passive and require the driving force to do nothing at all. Take the example of the popular Lane Keep Assist generation on the Buick Encore GX 2020. To turn on this generation, the driving force simply press the button right in front of the gear lever on the center console. The button has a photo of a vehicle driving between two dotted lane markers and has an orange LED that illuminates the devices when the lane maintenance assistant is on.
What precisely does this generation do? The lane maintenance assistant will stay where the vehicle is in its lane and make minor changes to the guide to ensure that the vehicle’s trail stays in the lane. This is not a roadside assistance service such as a Super Cruise or other similar formulas, it should be noted. The driving force will still have to steer the vehicle with this formula activated and cannot fully serve the guide. It’s just a safety net for times when driving forces lose focus and start getting out of their lane a little bit.
General Motors has developed a video detailing how to activate track maintenance assistance on the Buick Encore GX 2020, what generation it is capable of making and what its limitations are. Those who still have questions about this active security generation and how to take advantage of it can then see it.
