Last year, Key Digital (opens new window) shaped Key Digital Africa, a partnership with Magfre Enterprises, a Kenyan audiovisual integrator and distributor. This partnership is committed to expanding the distribution and marketing of Key Digital products across the African continent, and has been guilty of several successful formula integrations since its inception.
A key example is the AV corporate communication conference formula installed at Isuzu East Africa’s headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya. The goal is to facilitate virtual meetings on campus, welcoming on-site workers in two boardrooms, production line members and workers working remotely.

The setup comes from a combination of Key Digital and TOA Electronics products. Specifically, the formula includes the Key Digital KD-CAMUSB PTZ camera with automated camera tracking in the voice tracking functions of TOA Electronics owner LENUBIO AM-CF1, which houses an array of 8 microphones with active stereo speakers. Key Digital offers 4 configurations of its LeCAMbio conferencing formulas, combining the KD-CAMUSB with Key Digital’s IP AV controllers, switches and extenders to provide a variety of built-in enterprise conferencing responses for small and medium-sized convention rooms.
With Key Digital’s iOS-based Compass Control Pro system, users can identify a call between the two boardrooms and, with the click of a button on a tablet, load the production line. CEC functionality, controlled via a KD-x4x1WUTx wall plate transfer, enables seamless on/off transfer of boardroom demonstration screens. Displays on the production line are used for virtual signage when not used for conferencing, and the KD-CX800 key digital master readers manage the transfer of presentations to convention mode when enabled. The audio production line is descaled via a KD-DA2x8G distribution amplifier/selector and directed to a VX-3000 TOA evacuation system.
