The futuristic style of the Tesla Cybertruck has just made its way.
On Tuesday at the Consumer Electronic Show, Honda unveiled two concept models for its new line of electric vehicles, the Honda 0 Series. Called the Saloon and Space-Hub, they give the Cybertruck a boxy, unconventional feel.
The sedan is sleek and bubble-shaped, with a yoke-panel guide wheel and a falcon door. It also features electric guidance technology, a feature designed for the handling of a vehicle. The Cybertruck uses this technology.
Honda aims to bring a sedan-based electric vehicle to the U. S. market through 2026 and plans to integrate autonomous driving into the lineup.
The Space-Hub is more reminiscent of a minivan, with a much-larger and more-boxy shape, plus an all-glass ceiling.
Honda hasn’t commented on the similarities between its new concept cars and the Cybertruck. In fact, Shinji Aoyama, Honda’s global executive vice president, said in a press release that the cars have a design that is “extremely different from other electric cars to evoke novelty for people. “
When Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled the angular, futuristic design of the Cybertruck in 2019, it came across as polarizing and some even called it ugly. Since then, the Cybertruck has garnered more than 2 million reservations, according to one count, and several celebrities have shopped in.
Tesla started delayed deliveries of the electric pickup truck last year.
