Honda Celebrates Years of Production in North Carolina with Investment in ATV Production and Plans to Manufacture Electrified Products

Honda North Carolina Manufacturing (NCM) today celebrated 40 years of production in the Tar Heel State with the grand opening of new all-terrain vehicle (ATV) welding and painting operations. In 2023, NCM added all-terrain vehicles to its production line, launching a new era of strength sports at its former strength equipment factory. NCM’s current ATV production includes the popular Honda FourTrax series and TRX sport models.

NCM began producing electrical appliances in North Carolina on August 6, 1984 as Honda’s third production plant in the United States, producing walk-behind lawn mowers. In 1993, Honda established a new study and development center in an adjacent facility dedicated to electrical appliance products.
