Honda is issuing a set of recalls starting on September 23 that cover more than 1.6 million Odyssey minivans and Pilot and Passport SUVs.

Honda dealers will fix the issues free of charge starting on September 23, and one backup camera recall can be fixed via a software update.
Honda is recalling more than 1.6 million Odyssey minivans and Pilot and Passport SUVs in the U.S. to fix things such as faulty door latches, backup cameras, and dashboard lights. The recall starts on September 23, and dealers will fix the issues free of charge.
In more than 320,000 Honda Odyssey 2018-2020 minivans, water can leak between the electric sliding door and the external door, and then freeze, restricting door locks. In addition, in the Odysseys 2019-2020, water can penetrate the mounting holes of the rearview camera, causing a distorted symbol on the screen or no symbol. Distributors will update cables outside to take care of electric sliding doors and rearview cameras from September 23.
Some SUVs Passport 2019-2020 and Pilot 2019-2021 also have rearview camera disorders. Faulty software programming could possibly prevent the rearview camera from running or not seeming at all when leaning back. Honda will notify homeowners when an online software upgrade is required to correct the factor, or they can make a stop at a dealership to correct the factor when the recall begins on September 23.
Just over 600,000 Odysseys from 2018 to 2020, 2019 and 2020 passports and drivers from 2019 to 2021 are being withdrawn from the market due to lack of demonstration of meter groups. It will not be to demonstrate parts such as engine oil pressure, speedometer and existing speed selector position. The critical LX or Sport models are not covered in this recall because they use another type of network formula on the panels. Dealers will solve the challenge by rescheduling the car’s software from September 23.
Honda owners can check the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recalls website or Honda’s owner website to see if their vehicle is involved in one or more of the recalls.
