When confronted with images of himself fleeing the site of the structure, Foresyth told investigators he was hit in the shoe by a rock, causing him to run.

Upon questioning Foresyth, investigators discovered that he was inside the shipping container where the murder took place that same night.

He had started a small fire outside the container when a fight ensued, prompting Foresyth to stab Snell multiple times. He left without delay, police said, eventually disposing of the knife and the clothes he was wearing.

The witness reported hearing Snell scream that she had been stabbed and promptly rushed to her aid. He took him to Inman Park, where he allowed him to use his phone to call 911.

“The tireless determination and determination to track down Ms. Snell’s killer is a testament to the core of our detectives and all members of the Winter Haven Police Department,” said Chief David Brannan. “Detectives worked tirelessly around the clock to ensure no stone was left unturned in making a solid arrest. “

Detectives say Foresyth admitted he never called 911 afterward to get help from Snell, nor did he see her with a gun during the altercation.

He is being held on bond at the Polk County Jail.

Cherie Smith, Snell’s mother, confirms that her daughter was partially homeless at the time, but did not live on the land that was being built. He leaves behind a five-year-old daughter who is now Smith’s number one priority.

“It took a piece of my heart,” Smith said. Justice for this baby because she will be a mother. “

Snell’s circle of relatives will hold a candlelight vigil for her this Saturday at 7:30 p. m. on Silver Lake in Winter Haven.
